The sanctuary is located 16 km east of Sulthan Bathery (22 km from Kalpetta, the headquarters of the sanctuary) which is well connected to other major cities of Kerala.

Air : Karipur International Airport at Calicut (125 km) is the nearest Airport.

Rail : Reach Calicut or Mysore (125km) by rail from major cities, then by road to Wayanad Sanctuary.

Road : Frequent deluxe and express buses connect Calicut to Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery and Thirunelly.
