Ramoji Film City, world's largest film studio-cum-holiday destinations is located 25kms away from Hyderabad. Spread over 1,666 acres with extraordinary gardens, authentic sets and lavish locales, the film city attracts a million tourists every year. It is the best integrated film studio in the world, according to the Guiness Book of World Records.

Also known as RFC, this magnificent dream world, owned by entrepreneur-cum-film producer Ramoji Rao houses breathtaking gardens and fountains, hotels with five star and three star star facilities, multistoried buildings, fascinating fun & play areas and so on.

At the entrance one can see a huge hoarding named with 'Ramoji Film City'. The city offers two packages according to the needs of the visitor's, so one have to choose from the options. The one is general Guided tour. For this packages, the enty fee is Rs 600/- for adults and Rs 500/- for children (aged between 3 -12 years). The other is Ramoji star experience which is a sort of VIP treatment package. For this, the adult ticket fee is Rs 1350/- and Rs. 1100/- for children. From the Ticket counter it takes around 15- 20 minutes (by bus) to reach main attractions.

This filmmakers paradise provides the most comprehensive international-standard pre-production, production and post-production facilities with dedicated professionalism. Twenty international films, and nearly forty Indian films can be produced simultaneously in the complex. This place has been the filming ground for thousands of Indian Movies every year.

Ramoji film city is not just a film making complex but also a multi-faceted holiday haven for the whole family. The play zones with various exciting rides, video game parlour, dancing fountain, train restaurants all provide good amusement facilities. There is an exclusive nursery called Shangri-La which is the home to infinite varieties of exotic flowers, plants and shrubs. It is also a perfect venue for theme parties, lavish weddings, corporate conference and events, adventure camps etc.

There are shows after lunch which keep all entertained and most shows have 3-4 performances per day. Some of the must visit shows are Stunt Show, Opening and Closing Ceremony, Movie Magic (it shows how a movie is made), Dome theater, Bora Sura, and Spirit of Ramoji. Note : Standing in a queue for a long time can be tiring and wasting of time. So better to cover all the shows first and then go for city tour in a bus.

The film city is open from 9.30A.M to 3.30 P.M and not allowed after 02:30pm . Multiple payment options at the entrance. The cost includes guided tour of the film city and transportation within. For taking their own cars, the rate is Rs 700. Entry Ticket is Rs.500 onwards. Credit Card booking is available and tickets are available online. Booking Hours are from 9 A.M to 2 P.M daily. Eateries will not be allowed and there are many food options/restaurant available which are reasonably priced. Per person, lunch would be at most Rs.150-200.

Note: Since the complex is very large, one have to reach before 9:00 a.m and collect Tickets.
