The NTR Garden, located in Hyderabad, is one of the popular entertainment spot, for visitors both local and outsiders. It has emerged as a significant stop on the Hyderabad tourist map. Located nearby Hussain Sager Lake, NTR Gardens offers a serene atmosphere and yet provides recreation facilities and eateries.

It is dedicated to the late NT Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It was opened for public in the year 2002 at a cost of Rs. 40 crores.

It offers lots of recreation facilities like toy train, car cafes, Japanese garden, Fruit Restaurant, Roaring Cascade, a Fountain, Gopuram, An imposing entrance plaza with Nandi Bulls.

Sprawling over an area of 34acres, NTR Garden is a well maintained garden boasts a vast collection of flowering shrubs and plants. ‘Desert Garden’, consists of 150 varieties of plants, is the latest and exciting attraction in NTR Gardens. Developed in an area of about 1,000 sq. metres and has a wide variety of cacti and succulents, commonly referred to as desert plants that are used in such as local medicine, herbal cosmetics, treatment of leprosy and blood diseases etc. These plants were brought in from all over India including Kolkata and Shirdi apart from some nurseries. This project was designed and initiated by famed art director, Mr. Nitish Roy.

There are Car cafes, mobile six seater cafes where people can enjoy a cup of coffee and a 'Machan restaurant'- a multi storeyed restaurant set on a tree. The machan has huge concrete planks double up as the trunk and its branches are carved out of fibre glass and coloured grasshopper green.

The highlight of NTR garden is a 2000 sq.mts restaurant resembling a bowl of fruits which is surrounded by three petal shaped pools and greenery. It is open from 2.30P.M to 10.00P.M. Rs 15/- for adults and Rs. 10/- for children.

The park also has a toy train-Pearl City Express which is very popular amongst children.
