Several types of accommodation options, from star hotels
to small budget hotels are available at Mahabalipuram. Basic cheap rooms
with outhouse toilets are also available in the houses on the way to the
Pancha Rathas. All main hotels are located just north of the Mamallapuram
center. During the Mamallapuram Dance Festival in January it is advisable
to make advance booking, because it may be hard to find a room these period.
The place also offers a lot of restaruants which serves delicious fish
food.
