How to Reach Chembra peak
The peak is located 8 kms from Meppadi, a town in Ooty
road. KSRTC (both Kerala & Karnataka) and a lot of private companies
operate overnight deluxe buses between Kozhikode and Bengaluru. Get down
at Kalpetta and catch bus to Meppadi. From Meppadi, the the foot hills
of the peak can be reached by autos or jeeps.
The route from Bangalore –> Mysore –>
Nanjangudu –> Gundlupet –> Kalpetta –> Meppady.
The total distance to Meppady from Bangalore is about 320 kms.
Air
The nearest airport is Karipur Airport, 129 kms away
from Mananthavady. The airport is connected to many cities in India including
Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai and Airline services are available from Karipur
to many gulf countries.
Rail
The nearest railway station is located at a distance
of 106 kilometers at Kozhikode.
