How to Reach Agumbe
Air: The closest airport are at Bengaluru
(274kms) and at Mangalore (140kms).
Train: The nearest railhead is Udupi on Konkan Railway
(63km) is the closest railway station which is well connected to major
cities by regular trains. The other convenient railway station is Bangalore
which is also well connected with all major Indian cities.
Road: The nearest town is Shimoga. Regular trains and
buses from Bangalore are available to Shimoga. Agumbe is 95 kms from here.
To reach Shimoga from Bengalaru, there are two roots one is Take NH till
Tumkur then take NH 206 Tiptur-Arsikere-Kadur-Birur-Tarikere-Bhadravathi-Shimoga.
From here take NH 13 upto Thirthahalli. From here trave 40 mts to reach
Agumbe. The road is excellent to drive. The other root is Bangalore-Channarayapatna-Arsikere-Kadur-Birur-Tarikere-Bhadravathi-Shimoga.
From Shimoga Agumbe is 90 kms distance.
