Kovalam has an abundance of places to stay, ranging from
cheap comfortable lodges to five star resorts, and there is an equally
wide range of restaurants. ITDC-run Ashoka (Phone: 0471-2480101,Fax: 0471-2481522)
and the Kerala tourism department's 'Samudra' at the Kovalam beach provide
five-star accommodation. The area behind the light house has a good range
of hotels, cottages and lodges. Achutha, Dwaraka Lodge (Phone : 2480411),
Paradise Rock (Phone:2480658), Shangrila House, Wilson Tourist home (Phone:2480051)
etc are some of them. It is also possible to rent rooms in private houses,
near the Samudra beach and G.V Raja rd.
