Gardens gives a quiet and relaxing retreat. Gardens were
held in high esteem by India's medieval rulers especially
during the Mughal period, saw a remarkable blend of Indian,
Persian and Central Asian influences manifested in an impressive
legacy of landscaped gardens. Most of the South Indian temples
were surrounded by water tanks and spacious gardens.
