How to Reach
By rail or road from Bangalore to Kanakapura (63 km),
on to Malavalli (50 km), on to Kollegala (35 km), on to Chamarajanagar
(40 km), then by road to Biligiri Rangana Betta (B.R. Hill) (50 km) via
Nagavalli, inside the sanctuary. Kyathadevara Gudi (K. Gudi) is 28 km
from Chamarajnagar via Nagavalli.
Air: The nearest airports are Madurai
(200kms) and Thiruvananthapuram (140kms). From Thiruvananthapuram one
can reach the reserve via Shencottai or Nagarcoil. From here, board the
Papanasam bus, and from Papanasam, there is buses directly to the Kalakad
Reserve.
Rail: The nearest railhead is at Cheranmahadevi
(20kms).
Road : The nearest town is Tirunelveli
(50km). From Tirunelveli, regular buses are available to Mundanthurai.
