There are budget hotels, tourist lodges, guesthouses,
hotels, resorts and eating restaurants in and around Madikeri that cater
to the needs of the tourists. Price ranges from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000.
Most of these hotels are well known for the authentic coorgi food they
serve. Pork Curry is one of the delicacies of Coorgish food. They also
take some refreshing strolls on their plantations that grow coffee and
other cash crops. Near bus stand one can get small hotel offering basic
lodging.
