Accommodation in Rameshwaram
Most of the accommodation in Rameshwaram is restricted
to basic lodges in and around the Car streets around the temple and most
of them offer cheap basic rooms, some of which are large and can accommodate
up to four beds.
Bbudget hotels are also available in and around Rameswaram
and Ramanathapuram. The temple itself has a range of rooms for pilgrims;
ask at the Devasthanam Office, East Cart Street (04573-221223). During
temple festivals advance booking is needed.
Most eating joints offer good meals for Rs 50-100.
