Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Guests are welcome to stay up to two weeks at one of the guest houses situated within a mile of the main Ashram building. And all guest houses have the meditation facility. One can take meals with the Ashramites at the collective dining hall, and the rates are very reasonable. The food is good, cheap and vegetarian and the vegetables uses in this food are mostly grown on the ashram farm. 

A limited number of rooms are available in Ashram guest houses for visitors coming for a short visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Since accommodation is limited and is often fully booked, especially during the Special Days in the Ashram, so it is advisable to make reservations in advance.

Note: These guest houses are not like commercial hotels facilities like TV, Room Service etc. Most close their gates at 10.30 p.m. Foreigners must be registered at the Government's Foreigners' Registration Office. 

Apart from these guest houses, there are many hotels, lodges and guest houses in Puducherry where visitors can stay.
