The palace is situated on the outskirts of the town,
towards the southwest.
Air : Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport (DABH Airport)
is the nearest airport located 10km on the western side of the city. It
is one of the best airport in India which is linked with the major cities
of India. Indian Airlines, Deccan Airlines, Jet Lite, Kingfisher and Jet
Airways are the major airlines operating from here.
Rail : Indore Junction BG railway station
and Indore Junction MG railway stationare the two railway stations in
Indore are the nearest stations.
Road : Indore is well connected with national
highways NH3 ( Agra Bombay), NH 59 ( Indore Ahmedabad), NH 59A ( Indore
– Betul)and State Highway No. 17 , 27 and 34. The city is linked to all
the major and minor cities nearby, via proper roads and has a frequent
mini-bus service to cities like Dewas and Mhow and long distance services
to Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur etc. Regular bus services are
available from Ujjain (55 km), Delhi (800 km) and Mumbai (655 km) to Indore
Ujjain. Sarwate bus station located near the Indore Junction BG railway
station, Gangwal bus terminal, Navlakha bus stand and Jinsi bus stand
are the major bus terminals in the city. |
