The Karla caves are about 120 kms from Mumbai and 10 kms from Lonavala towards Pune on the Mumbai-Pune Highway. Maharashtra state transport Corporation runs regular bus service every 15 minutes between Mumbai and Pune.

How to reach Karla

Air: Nearest airports are at Pune (64kms) and Mumbai (International airport 110 kms).

Rail: The nearest railhead is Malavi, 5 km south of Karla town.
