How to Reach
To reach Nubra valley, one have to cross the awe-inspiring
Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world. After crossing the
pass, one can have a view of Khardong village, Khalser and Deskit (the
main villages of Nubra valley). Leh to Khardung La Pass (40km) - Khardung
Village (34km) - Khalsar (23km) - Diskit (19 km) - Nubra
How to get there:
Air: The nearest airport to Nubra valley
is Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, about 120 km from Diskit. There
are direct flights from Delhi, Srinagar and Jammu.
Road: Approximate distance from Chandigarh
to Leh via Manali is 800 km. Approximate distance from Srinagar to Leh
is 440 km. State transport buses also ply on the Srinagar-Leh route. From
Leh jeeps are available to Nubra.
